Mumbai Skywalk Project aims to provide safe and easy path for people in strategic locations in MMR. From Mumbai suburban Railways depots, commuters can easily access commercial areas and destinations including bus and taxi stations.

MMRDA constructed Skywalks at twenty railway stops with the fund of Rs. 500 crores. This is a project under the Station Area Traffic Improvement Scheme (SATIS).

Today, there are 36 Skywalks in Mumbai and out of which, 28 were built by MMRDA, 7 by the MSRDC and 1 by the Kaylan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation. According to surveys conducted by the Authority, 15 laks people utilized the Skywalks.
