The MMRDA has established a Reserve Fund in 1992. From this fund, soft and long term loans are granted to local authorities in the MMR for financing infrastructure works. The loans sanctioned and disbursed from this fund are as follows:

a) Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation Rs. 12.00 Cr. For construction of ROB
b) Public Works Department Rs. 19.50 Cr. for Second Thane Creek Bridge,
c) Public Works Department Rs. 62.15 Cr. for construction of flyovers..
d) MSRDC Rs. 525 Cr for construction of Mumbai-Pune Express Highway and Mumbai Flyovers.
